David PeirceDavid Peirce B.Phty - Physiotherapist & Company Director

David brings to Pondera 17 years experience in the management and treatment of a wide variety of conditions affecting people's ability to live life to the fullest. From graduation in 1991 from Queensland University, his diverse career has taken him around the world and landed him back in Brisbane. He spent 5 years in London as the Senior Physiotherapist at London Wasps Rugby Club working with players at the highest levels of representative sport. In recent years his focus has turned to the management and rehabilitation of more chronic conditions like back & neck pain, headaches, osteoporosis, orthopedic surgery and perinatal care.

He is a co-presenter of courses with the DMA Clincial Pilates training program and is involved with the continuing research and implementation of this method of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation used by Physiotherapists and others around the world.

In 2010 and 2011 he has consulted to the Qld Reds Super 15 squad involved with pre season stability and conditioning using a Clinical Pilates approach.  

Since 2000, David has worked continuously in private practice fine-tuning and coordinating a unique combination of Physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, Exercise Physiology & Massage Therapy. This harmonized team approach to musculoskeletal pain and injury management is the foundation of Pondera Physio & Pilates' services.


 

Melanie FullerMelanie Fuller M Phty, B Ex Sci, Adv Dip PA (Dance) - Physiotherapist

Melanie is a Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist & Dance Specialist. Since completing her training from Griffith University she has gained experience treating, educating & rehabilitating a vast variety of conditions across different populations.

Through her special interest in dance, Melanie manages conditions for dancers from The Queensland Ballet & adolescent dancers, specialising in pre pointe assessments & the prevention of injury. She has completed an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Melanie has taught dance for 13 years and has a special emphasise on biomechanical correction to facilitate enhanced performance of young dancers.

Melanie constantly undergoes further professional development & attends conferences through memberships of the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science & the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Melanie works at our West End centre Monday to Friday.
